Kindergarten Cave Drawings
Students learned about ancient cave people and their communities and became inspired by cave drawings in France and Argentina. They observed and drew their own animals, surrounding them with their own hands which they blended with color pencil. Finger Prints were added as the finishing touches.

Creating Our Chalk Pastel & Charcoal Cave Drawings
Students learned about Cueva de las manos, Cave of the Hands which is in Argentina.
They were asked many questions:
How many cave people did this?
Why did they do this?
What do you think these hands mean?
This made the words community and family important for the rest of the unit.
Learning tracing, color pencil blending techniques, and staying inside of the lines.
